PM-SETU: Upgrading India’s ITIs
One of the flagship initiatives, PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs), is a centrally sponsored scheme backed by an investment of ₹60,000 crore. Its goal is to modernize 1,000 government ITIs using a hub-and-spoke model, with 200 “hub” institutions and 800 “spoke” institutions.
